Job Description:

1. Accounting Operations & Financial Management Supervise day-to-day accounting operations — AP, AR, bank reconciliation, and general ledger. Ensure timely closing of books of accounts and preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Implement and monitor internal controls and accounting policies. Manage working capital efficiently (receivables, payables, and inventory). 2. Financial Reporting & Audit Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and statutory purposes. Coordinate and lead internal, statutory, and tax audits. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial information. 3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control Assist in preparing the annual budget and monitor actuals vs. budget. Conduct cost analysis and suggest measures for cost optimization. Provide financial insights to management for business planning and strategy. 4. Taxation & Statutory Compliance Oversee all direct and indirect tax matters — Income Tax, TDS, GST, etc. Ensure timely filing of returns and compliance with government regulations. Liaise with auditors, consultants, and tax authorities. 5. Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and train the Accounts team to improve efficiency and accuracy. Allocate work, set performance goals, and monitor progress. Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement. 6. ERP & Process Improvement Ensure proper use of accounting and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle). Continuously review and improve accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Accounting Operations Maintain books of accounts and ensure timely posting of all financial transactions. Prepare and review journal entries, ledgers, trial balances, and reconciliations. Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Manage fixed assets register and depreciation schedules. 2. Financial Reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Support in the preparation of management reports and financial analysis. Assist in finalization of accounts and statutory audits. 3. Budgeting & Forecasting Assist in annual budgeting and rolling forecasts. Monitor budget variances and report deviations with explanations. 4. Compliance & Controls Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP). Handle taxation matters — TDS, GST, income tax, and other statutory filings. Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies. 5. Coordination & Support Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities. Support management with financial data for strategic decisions. Supervise junior accountants or finance assistants (if applicable).

Required Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance). Professional certification preferred: CA / CMA / CPA (optional, based on level). 3–8 years of relevant experience (for mid-level roles). Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems). Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools. Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and integrity.
